Summer Adventures

Hey Kiddos!

I hope you all are having a terrific summer. I have enjoyed reading emails from many of you telling me about your summer! THANKS!!

Well just as I promised, I am posting about my summer adventures. I thought you all would be really interested in this trip….. Mr. Schaffer and I went to Jamestown, Yorktown, and Williamsburg! It was so much fun and I learned many things.  I took a TON of pictures. Check out a few of the pictures below. Do any of these things look familiar from Virginia Studies? I look forward to hearing from you!

Last Friday, we began learning about the Ecosystem!  There are many important vocabulary words that help us understand about the communities around us!

Try explaining this picture to someone using our vocabulary words!

If you need practice, try reviewing the Ecosystem slideshow under the science tab.

The day has finally arrived!!

Woohoo!!! The first day of school is so exciting!! I am looking forward to seeing all of your smiling faces bright and early. 😄

Parents, please make sure your child knows their transportation plans for the afternoon. If there are any changes to their regular routine, please send a note with your child. Thank you in advance!

Tomorrow will be a terrific day because … image

Biography Poster Project

Attention! Attention!

We are finishing our biography poster project. We will be presenting these in class on Friday, March 6, 2015. If your child would like to dress as their biography person, they are more than welcome to do so. However, this is NOT mandatory. The students can make note cards to help with their presentation if they would like. They have worked very hard on this project and I’m excited to hear all about the interesting things they have learned! 🙂
